ParticipantHi,
I’d appreciate some more help please.
I fitted a another working (used ) motor on to this machine about two weeks ago. Done around 8 washes.
Brushes looked OK before I fitted it.
The machine started Ok as usual last night . Water went in. Then apparently suddenly there was a noise : cracking sound.. Not sure what.
The machine has stopped completely with water inside.
There are no lights. Now the lights do not display on the fascia.
The fuse in the plug is OK. The mains power supply is working.
Thanks

A few possibilities here, the motor and blown the PCB? The PCB has self-destructed? The door interlock has failed and taken the PCB with it? A mouse has got in a chewed through a cable? 😕

some bosch machines (same as siemens) go into fault code when the brushes go and have to be cleared, on bosch machines if my memory serve me right is….turn dial to 6 ‘o’ clock posistion, press and keep holding spin speed button, turn one notch clockwise then 3 seconds later let go of spin speed button then turn to off posistion, but before all this check brushes

Hi Kelland,Thanks for the reply.
I had checked the brushes. They seemed OK when I checked two weeks ago.
It has worked few times and now has suddenly gone. There is lot of water left inside.
Trying to work out your instructions. There are two dials
One for the programme on the left.
and
the right dial is for spin speed.
There are 5 buttons from left to right ;
1. Remaining Time / Time delay
2. Short Wash
3 Extra Rinsing
4. Less Ironing
5. Start

So not sure which ones I turn and hold.

Hi Applianceman2010,Thanks for the reply.
Are you saying that the Heating Element has gone ?
If they have gone, would all the lights go off.
How can I be sure ?
Also if the heating element has gone, would I normally be able to use the spin or pump programme. Or cold wash ?
None of the lights coming on !
ThanksJM2

I’m just thinking mabe the “click” was the PCB bringing on the heater and it blew, taking the PCB with it …. 😐 just a possibility.

Hi,That doesn’t sound too good. Not very good design if the PCB goes just because the heater element has gone.
So it’s not worth changing the heater element ?
Thanks for all the assistance.

It’s only a theory but defo. Worth checking the element. The “click” could of come from any thing really ,motor relay ,door switch but from what you have described it doesn’t sound good 😕
