not come across this before, have had the RHS of the picture carbon holder get hot and melt teh plastic on the holder, problem is the plastic has dripped onto the armature. is the motor totally goosed or is there any skillful way to bring it back from the dead, if someone is willing to give me a basic guide to it.
thing is machine is only 4 years old, its a contract machine for a developer (the other siemens kit there is basically rebadged tactical bosch…) but homeowner didnt like the idea of £200 for a new motor, this is before i warned her the pcb might be damaged too. they are considering writing the machine off for an indesit as its so close to christmas… ive got tillo midweek when they return to sort it out…
failing that is there an alternative non-ceset motor that will fit, and is there likely to be an underlying problem causing the overheating???
