Siemens WDI1440GB/04 FD 8606

Hi all,

Have a customer with the above machine which wont do a thing.
Theres four lights across, then the screen, and five lights down.
The machine just flashes ‘STOP’ and the 4th light across (drying) and 2nd and 5th lights down (time to end & low heat) are on.
Unplugging does nothing.
Is this a fault code?
I’m reluctant to take it on as I know these are poor machines, but I’d like to know if this is a common fault before I go and see it.

Did you try holding the start button for 10 seconds?

If it’s a true fault code did you check motor, heater etc?

I’ve not gone to it at all yet.

Was at it a while back for a reset of the heater stat on the dryer, it’s worked ok since today and they sent me a pic showing what I’ve described above.
They said they tried holding the start button (and all the others individually) to try and get it to go.
I said I’d call tomorrow.
