ParticipantHi Folks, I have just been to a Siemens WM14S795GB/23 washing machine which had a F43 error code that turned out to be a stuck carbon brush, I have gently filed down the offending brush, but I have tried every combination I can think of too clear the error code with no success, in fact I HAVE SPENT LONGER TRYING TO RESET IT THAN ACTUALLY REPAIR IT. This machine does not actually have a spin select button it just has a “+” and “-” button and the same for the temperature. The only thing I have discovered is that if you hold the “-” down on the temperature it shows you the last error code stored. Does anybody actual know reset procedure for this model. Many thanks for taking the time to read this ramble. Neil

ParticipantI had one very similar in the week and I asked the question but nothing worked for me. I think maybe there is another method out there or im just mistiming something but the usual reset didn’t work. Like you I spent more time trying to reset the damn machine than fixing what is a simple fault.
Maybe a sticky on the reset procedures or a section in Tips and tricks would be beneficial to have them all in one place.May 6, 2019 at 12:04 pm #461482neilbow
ParticipantHi Dave,
No I had not tried the other rest procedures, I have now tried them and still no joy. Has anybody got any other ideas apart from changing the control module ??May 11, 2019 at 6:53 am #461483neilbow
ParticipantThanks for everyone who got back to me about this enquiry especially all you Siemens engineers out there (yes you know who I am talking about) after some digging I finally found the solution
- Turn off the machine (dial to 0)
- Open the door
- Turn control knob to position 1
- Close the door
- Turn off the machine
- Turn the control knob to the six-o-clock program, which is spin
- Press the option down button and keep it pressed (This is the button left of the display)
- Turn the control knob one position left to seven-o-clock (empty/pump out program)
- Release the option down button
- Turn off the machine.
and hey presto we are all up and working, I hope this helps someone else
