    posted on the washing machine forum about our problem with both machines after a long holiday.


    I have a Siemens WT46W56CGB heat pump tumble dryer. Recently we went on holiday and when we came back both our Miele washing machine and the tumble dryer have the same problem. They will turn on and run for a while then just turn off no lights dead. Then if left for a while they will turn on again. I think the psu’s have been damaged by a power surge maybe.

    Anyway the Miele was fixed under warranty. But the Siemens is now 9 years old so no warranty. Another thing I’ve noticed is the front cooling fan now runs regardless of the programme selected. As soon as you press start it runs.

    any Siemens engineers come across this? Trying to claim on he house insurance and need a report.
