Siemens WT79020GB/04

One for the BSH guys…this tumble dryer simply doesn’t go…you can set any drying mode as normal, press start and it begins to count down on the display but no motor, pump or heater action! No fault code displaying either.

Two boards on this one, main power board and display board. Having replaced the main board and no change in the fault logic would suggest it’s the display board but are we missing something?

Does it have the square door ? I’d be looking at the door lock 1st .

Yes it does have a square door but it picks up the door opening and the start light goes back to ready flashing when you open and close it. Is the door switch a simple two position switch (3 wires)?

All I can say is that 9 times out of 10 with this style of dryer , if the timer counts down after start but there’s no other action , the door lock is at fault.
