Siemens WXL 140GB/01 FD8101

Having problems with this washing machine 😥 The motor will not agitate or spin and I can hear controller calling (clicking) for motor to turn. Belt is fine.
Is this a motor fault?
How is the motor removed once the two retaining screws are removed as it still feels locked in place?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Its not locked in place.
Once those bolts are out you need a largish screwdriver and between top of motor and bottom edge of tank at the rear, lever it off.

Power off of course first :plug:

Thanks, motor is now off. Are there any tests for the motor, e.g winding resistances pin 3/5 etc? I suppose it’s time to dig deep, unless I go for new brushes first.

Remove brushes, they should be approx 1.5″ in length.
If you require brushes you will need to identify make of motor for us.
If its siemens you need brush p/no 154740
If its FHP you need brush p/no 173028
