ParticipantHi folks
Been to this today and suspect module but would just like a bit of reassurance pls 🙂
Customer says control been intermitant at selecting program and not coming on but was ok as long as m/c not switched off at dial – now not coming on at all.
Supply into m/c and up to main board – no indicator lights on at all and nothing when you try and select a program. checked motor and door lock but all seems ok
Suspect module/selector switch as they been having previous problems with selector but would just like some comfermation I havn’t missed something stupid.
Thanks – all comments appreciated.

How can you check the door lock if the machine is dead? 😕

Hmm?….could be?….what were the “previous problems” anyway?

Hi Martin
Did a quick check on door lock heater to make sure it wasn’t o/circuit but grasping at straws really as would have expected some lights up somewhere but there are no lights showing.
Did explain previous probs were intermitant selecter opperation – sometimes it would select, lights came on and worked ok through wash – other times would not come on/ no lights showing, and then once they had fiddled with the selector a bit and got the lights to come up it worked fine. Just sounds like a dodgy selector to me altho it feels ok??
Thought someone might have had a similar prob with a Bosh or Siemans as they the same more or less and suspect they use the same boards.
Thanks for the reply

Sure sounds like it to me too. Costly blighters though aren’t they? 🙁
You’ll just have to go with it I guess….fingers crossed! 🙂

Thanks for the reply Martin
Suspect module as power in nothing out – not even lights but I just know these days nothing as straight forward as it seems and just wondered if I had missed anything.
Would have expected if module/selector ok I would have got a light or lights up somewhere even if door lock or something else faulty – but there again who knows in this day and age of improving technoligy :rolls:
Thanks again
Mick
