Siemens WXLS122GB – Drum does not turn at all

Hiya guys,

Back again (in such a short space of time). This time it’s the Siemens Washing machine, model :WXLS122GB, Approx 5 years old.

Following are the symptoms:
In any programme, it will take on water and pump off at the due time but the drum fails to rotate, spin etc.

Quick look:
No apparent error codes.
Belt is intact and still on (unfortunately)
Drum rotates freely, although possibly more easily than before, but I can’t be sure. (Does this motor have brushes? or is it an induction type?)

Spot on as usual. Replaced the brushes and everything back to normal. I would have thought there would be an error code for such faults but hey – who needs error codes with you guys around. Thanks once again for your (quick) help
