Hi, Can someone give advice on the degree of difficulty of replacing the bearings on this machine and any pitfalls please. I see the parts are available to buy on line from Siemens direct.
You could ask Siemens direct 😉 😆
We do sell genuine parts aswell 😀
Its hard to say how difficult without knowing your ability 😕
It can be quite difficult and will require the tank removing completely from the casing before anything else.
You will require new front tank and rear tank (bearings do come seperate if you want to knock the old ones out and re-use the rear tank) halves and seal and new shock absorbers too. Depending on how bad the damage to bearings are you may need a new drum also 😯
Thank you for your reply. I didn’t realise that genuine parts were available here. Seems like the picture you have painted, points towards an expensive repair for a 7 year old machine, perhaps its a trip to the tip then!!!
Out of interest I have looked at the spares pages on this site, but cannot find the parts you listed to effect this repair as available. Perhaps with your knowledge of the site you could show me where I can get the parts other than from Siemens direct?
Thanks,
Nick
