The problem could be several things but most likely the thermostat or temperature control pcb.
The model/serial number is often to the side of one of the crisper drawers…if you can post it up we may have more specific advice 😉

Many thanks Clive…I looked in the fridge and found 2001009454….01
but I found the user guide and that has a number of APM 6115/6121/6125.the only working part on the fridge is the light..

KeymasterPlease try to stick to one thread per problem. Repeating posts wont’ get any more response. 😉
It’s really not possible to say, there’s too many things that it could be at fault. Like Clive I’d expect it was the PCB but there’s no way to be sure without metering out the compressor etc. and diagnosing the problem properly.

Please post a reply littleorme and not a new thread. When you post it as a new thread no-one knows what you’re on about and they are unlikely to trawl through the forums to find out.

At this point i’ll post a reply 😆
The model number indicates it’s a Diplomat (IIRC) which is of course an MFI own brand…again IIRC some are Schreiber made and some Whirlpool, i’m sure someone will correct me if thats wrong.
If its a Schreiber then it may be a pcb fault, and if Whirlpool then most likely a simple stat but pragmatism would suggest that if you’re unfamiliar with using a meter and following circuits then its time to call for an engineer.
If you haven’t got one tamed locally already then try the link below?
HTH?

I didn’t look it up.
It’s a bog standard Ardo fridge that’s thermostatically controlled so it could be the stat but there’s no way to be sure without metering it out. The part number is 651016640 but it’s not a stock item, seems to be a special everywhere with no ETA and, since Ardo is bust… 🙁
However it’s a no stock part as it’s usually the compressor that goes phut in those things and they’re not really worth the effort to replace generally. Or at least, that’s my experience of them.

Thank you for replying to my post..I am having an engineer out on Friday..seeing as I now have oven and fridge not working ..I have a feeling the fridge will not be worth repairing if its the compressor…they are both Diplomat…. packed up in sympathy with each other…Cheers

engineer called out ..it was the compressor..so that is now well and truly defunct..not worth repairing…please could someone tell me would we be able to install an intergrated fridge ourselves ..or would there be problems with hinges etc..is it an electrician or a kitchen fitter I would need to install new appliance?..if so would I be better to purchase a fridge from a kitchen supplier..many thanks
