ParticipantIt appears that it has been two weeks since anyone has posted on this board. I can only assume this is because the number of people still involved in this trade has dropped markedly. Five or ten years ago there was a buzz of conversation. Are we a dying breed? How many of you reading this are like me 60+ been doing the job 40+ years and just holding on for retirement?

KeymasterNothing doing is the reason… everyone’s too glued to the parliamentary soap opera… now in Season 3 with more viewers than Game Of Thrones! 😉

Yes I agree, I miss the old forum, more user friendly.
Ah, the old forum, gone but not forgotten!, missed like Windows 98.March 27, 2019 at 9:29 pm #461012stratfordgirl
Participant“Latest Activity” is great if you want to monitor all forums, but not much use if you only want to dip into say the main trade forums. It seems to me there is no longer much benefit in splitting the main trade forum into sub forums. Combining them all into one might even help bring it back to life. Just a suggestion of course.

KeymasterThe old forum gave all posts as well though that may be how I viewed it.

And me, I always went to the ‘’New posts’ list which was basically what the ‘’Latest activity ‘ is now.

ParticipantOn the old forum I could see at a glance which trade sub-forums had new posts added to them and click on just the one or two that were highlighted. Now, I have to click on all nine to find out.
Are the blue and grey speech bubbles supposed to indicate unread posts? Those on the public forums seem to do that but for me the ones on the trade forums are always grey. Is this due to a difference in the way the trade and public forums are set up?
