ParticipantHi,
I am looking for a thermostat for siwatherm plus 5501.
ELTH type 261/P – 16(3)250~ T130K
One thing I am wondering is that there are 2 of these next to each other and one of them is black and the other one is red. What is the difference?
Thanks,

Sorry, my mistake siwatherm plus 5801. Not sure at this moment the machine is at my friend’s place).
I am looking at the thermostats at the front of the machine. It is a block with 2 elements. It looks like this (but I dont need the whole block…):

White Knight uses a 60c button type thermostat – p/no 421307848373. Can’t think of anything using a 70c one. You might just have to pay up! 😀

Thanks, I am just not able to find out if that one is rated for 16A? Instead of that, may I use the one I mentioned below?
I found several thermostats at ukwhitegoods shop. Unfortunately, it is difficult to know exactly what are the specifications or what is the text on them. 🙁 the model list is perhaps helpful to people who has those models but having the text on thermostats online would help my situation…

The texts on this one looks exactly the same as the one I have (at least on the lower side which is visible in the photo). I think this one is the one I am looking for? At least if the image is genuinely from the product?I checked the thermostats with multimeter and only one of them was not working properly at room temperature. I dont remember if it was the brown or black one but if I make it 60/60 instead of 60/70, perhaps the extra power program wont heat more than 60 only? (which is not a big deal). Anyway we shall see 🙂
Thanks,

ParticipantEarlier I thought the part was opening at 70C (it opens at about 58C-60C) but obviously the dryer gets warm too quickly when it is empty.

I got the part below and it is from elth and it says t175k and opens at about 58C-60C

I also got the 421307848373 – 60C thermostat and it opens at 60C. The difference is that the other one is rated 16A and the 60C one is rated 10A according to model number…Now the machine is working perfectly fine 🙂 Thanks for the help!
