Sounds like an urban myth in the making!

KeymasterNo idea Chriztopher but I’d have to assume that they would be getting in there from the door as there’s no other way in that I can think on in most dishwashers.

Saw the same thing in a house in Glasgow. Woman swore blind she never left the dishwasher door open and we found one in her sink (which the DW drained into) as well 💡
Wouldn’t have thought it would have made it all the way up the drain hose and through the pump, but there didn’t seem to be a better explanation.November 14, 2005 at 11:04 am #153869iadom

You could always take the filters out and run it………. That’d get rid of the blighters.

System is a whirlpool. Wife swears blind she only opens the door when washer is finished.
I took the kick plate off and looked below, few slug trails. I think the odd one is coming up through the floor from the foundations. And the sneaky wee gits, got in when the door has been opened.
Will fill the holes on the floor and see what happens.
More pi$$ed off that there are mouse droppings under the unit and the wife has saw them and now is freaked about a mouse in the house.. ….happy days.
Thanks for the posts, always found this a good site, keep up the good work, by the way, not enough salt..ha ha.
Cheers.November 16, 2005 at 4:54 pm #153876Martin
