ParticipantHi there,
Firstly I just want to say what an amazing site this is! I have never seen so much useful info – and info that’s not only targetted at professional repairers. Simply brilliant.
Now to my issue (I have had a look around for this specific error but haven’t seen one that matches).
The machine has been functioning fine although I have noticed that the lid switch never seemed to stop the machine if the lid was opened.
Today I go to use it and it powers up, I can set the appropriate wash options and press the start button (all seems normal) but then it just does nothing.
After looking through this forum I found how to do the error diagnostics and came up with 00110010.
I am guessing that the lid switch would be a good place to start, but any other suggestions while I’m at it?
Thanks in advance,
Cliff

I figure someone on here has already gone through this before…..but anyway….
It appears as though the lid switch was the culprit. It appeared to be falling apart (severe corrosion) so after testing it with a multimeter to make sure it was definitely not functioning, I cut if off and shorted the wiring.
The machine has lept back to life. Fingers crossed.
I’ll keep you posted. Hopefully that’s the only issue it has right now.

But you are going to replace the switch, aren’t you? It is a safety device, after all.
Curious though, as the code suggests a problem with the hot water valve – dodgy wiring or coil gone.

Hi there thanks for a great site.
Am having the same problem as described above. Replaced the lid sensor switch about 3 years ago which still seems to be alright and the cold water solenoid about 1 year ago.
When I try to retrieve the dianostic code I get no beeps but all the lights coming on for about 5 secs then the water level high and low lights staying on. If I then cycle through the spin cycles no lights come up when hold and slow reached.
Any ideas?Thanks.

I don’t know – you don’t always get the beep when entering the diagnostics, and no lights at all suggests that no error is being recalled. If the machine will not start at all, the lid switch is always a suspect, as is the Out of Balance switch. Both suffer from corrosion and dodgy wiring.
Bigsmokepiker may be able to add more – he has a lot more “hands on” experience than I have.
