Smart frost, no frost, frost free or not frost free

Hello,
I am buying an upright freezer.

I have narrowed it down to liebherr, Bosch, or siemens

Hello!
I am interested in a standalone freezer around 180-230 litres space.
Colour, size shape.: all frills I am not interested in.

Door alarm is nice to have, as is good customer service support.

I want reliability, I don’t want to have to defrost regularly, it will be a backup freezer and maybe only slightly empty in early summer. I don’t need picture perfect no visible frost.

What is the difference between liebherr smart frost and no frost and why do siemens and Bosch have no frost and frost free at all specs and levels in their ranges?

Is one of these options more (less) likely to break down?
Does one of these options need more (less) ongoing maintenance?

What are vario panels?Do they work? How many are needed? Are they interchangeable across different freezer models?
