Smartdrive 053 error 01000100

Can anyone help me work out what the the error code means? The machine powers on fine but will not start to fill or anything. Had happened a couple of times in the past but corrected itself after leaving for 30 mins or so. I suspect it is related to the lid switch as the machine would not stop when the lid was lifted. This has been the case for years though.

Communications error between the display board and the motor controller. F+P helpfully suggest that you change the display board and if that doesn’t work to change the motor controller. Or both…..

Given that you say the fault was intermittent, it may well be worth checking the connections between the board for contact integrity, oxidisation and the like.
