smartdrive 701

Hi everyone, this site is fantastic…………..hopefully someone can help me.
We have a F&P smartdrive 701 ,it keeps operating the solenoid on and off while filling but doesnt rotate, then it stops totally and beeps away.while showing the 3rd light on the washing cycle panel.

i also did a diagnostic check …..code error is 10001000 after reading the forums im suspecting the OOB switch, so i cleaned it all up, now clicks and sounds fine.(still maybe faulty inside though)
Is there a way i can bridge the OOB switch to eliminate it as a fault? and move on to what else it can be.
i like a challenge, thanks in advance.

10001000 is a motor fault. Possible causes are dodgy wiring to the motor, drum jammed through shot bearings, motor itself jammed, rotor postion sensor faulty, or its wiring. It can also be the motor control board.

So – continuity checks through all of the above, check drum for free and silent movement. If everything meters out, the board is the most likely culprit.

This is a potentially complex fault – if you don’t have or know how to use a multimeter safely and correctly, I’d get some pro help – a lot of things to check.
