Smartdrive 708 won’t start when start is pushed?

All buttons work as normal, it powers on as normal, but when you press start nothing happens. In diag mode there are no lights except “wash temp down”, “hold” and “slow”, but no error code. Please help!

The lid is not connected to anything with sensors. I pulled the lid off but could not see any? Where can i find the lid switch?

Right hand side under the top deck, there is a magnetic switch. The magnet is embedded in the lid itself. The switch can fail, it can also suffer from corrosion/wiring problems. Resistance through the switch when in the closed position should be less than 2ohms.

Power off when checking please.
