Smartdrive GW508 turns on and everything

Hi folks, as above the washing machine (I think it’s GW508), here turns on, but when I go to press it so it’ll fill, nothing happens.

This seems to be intermittent. Because, sometimes it’ll fill, sometimes it wont do anything at all.

If I press water temp down/then power it does beep twice.

Then as the sticky says I press spin until the slow/hold LEDS are lit. No LED’s on the top light up.

The only time the LED’s light up seems to be when I do the following

Select Spin speed Fast LED’s 4/5/8 light up. So, is that 10011000 ?

Spin speed Med lights up LED 2 and 6 = 00100010 ?

Med/Hold 2,3,4,5,6 and 8 LED light up = 10111110?

Any info on what to do / what to replace would be appreciated

This sounds like my prob the reed switch.

Since as this post says everything works, it turns on, the cold water does goes in after I press wash temp/power, then press the wash temp button again

May have to somehow remove the top deck to check it out

Go to F&P’s australian site here http://www.fisherpaykel.com/au/support/user-manuals/ and you will be able to download a parts manual.

You will need the PN number for the appliance to search for your manual, it will probably be one of these numbers 90105 91105 93105 93135

Managed to find it ta John. 426457. Thats the part for the reed/oob switch, Man its not exactly cheap here $66 $NZ !

Well, it fills up now. but I have no idea what the cause was.

There’s 2 possibilities.

1. I replaced the filters

2. The TV I purchased in Sept last year,

In Mar / April this year, I took it back to the shop.

Because, after watching TV for say 30 mins – It sounded like cicadas at the back of the TV.

The electrician / whatever you call them tested it, and found that it had a power supply PCB fault.

So I got it repaired under warranty (its got a 3 yr warranty). Once it was fixed, this washing machine has always filled up with water

But, when I did the diag test, (before I replaced the filters / when it wouldn’t fill), the cold and hot water did work / did fill the washing machine
