    Hi,

The power board on my GW601 just died (power device blown though insulation to heatsink, dead fuse). Resistance on pump, valves, and motor are per spec. I fitted a (reconditioned) replacement board. On its first wash it got as far as rinse then got upset about balance (beeping, rinse light blinking).

On messing round with it what is happening is that it is aborting the spin during ramp-up, even with the machine completely empty, going through its self-correct routine (fill, agitate, etc), then aborting the spin again & going into “help me” mode. It does it on any spin speed.

It doesn’t seem to be a real OOB.

The balance spring is still connected.

The OOB switch is working fine – removing it from the machine body to avoid it triggering still gives the same problem, and manually triggering the switch aborts the spin properly.

Pressure hose appears to be properly connected.

On entering the diagnostic mode I get:
Press Wash Temp Down+Power: No beeps, all lights on for 5 seconds or so then settles down to Wash Level Low + Final Rinse lights on (error code 2?)
Then press Advance: Wash Level H+L and Spin Speed L+Hold lights on, no status lights on (=no error?).

    Any ideas?

It could be a problem with the level switch. If the machine was not absolutely empty when you hooked up the air hose to the new board, you can get “negative” level readings when the machine pumps out for spin by there being a vacuum in the air hose.

    Not sure otherwise.
