    Hi guys,

So I have a faulty fan motor on a Smeg range cooker. Model A2A.

I have replaced the fan motor and it needs a help to start. Slightest of nudges gets it working. After inspecting the old one, it is stamped as 30 Watts. The replacement is 20 Watts. I am assuming this is the problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I can’t seem to locate a 30 watt fan.

Am I missing something? Maybe it’s a capacitor on a control board or something knstead that may be causing the issue?

we would need to double check complete models as there are quite a few units with A2A in the model number. The original one with just A2A and nothing after it uses

you should not have to push it to start it. its either jamming or faulty

But the nut and fan blades also need to be changed along with that.

It’s a shaded pole motor so doesn’t need a start capacitor. Either it’s faulty or something is binding.
