Theres a very inviting skip in the neighbours drive, this machine is driving me nuts! I am now adept at dismantling!

The previous problem of the water getting only warm but not hot has not been rectified by the changing of the door thermistor. I have stripped as far as possible and cleaned as many parts as possible.

There appears to be no water being allowed to the lower rotating arm hence although the top tray items are reasonably clean the lower tray items are not. I can see that there is some sort of valve below the lower arm inlet – is this prone to fail? The machine is almost behaving as if its on permenant half-load (along with the temperature problem). There is no apparant blockage in the arm or pipes to it.

No error codes – cycle completes normally.

If anyone could please point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it.

    Many thanks

    Alex

    Update:

Removed the diverter valve and noticed it was in the closed position (i.e no water to the lower spray bar) Tested the microswitch which took a bit of coaxing to register as a switch!

Have now opened the valve and put the machine on a rinse cycle – lower bar now spinning properly.

My question is would this valve need to close for any other reason than a half-load setting (which i never use). If not I will just leave it open and not worry about it?

    Thanks
    Alex
