ParticipantI have a Smeg Opera A1-1 range cooker, the little light on the front that illuminates the little window so you see the temperature numbers has stopped working.
I have managed to get hold of the replacement led bulb and holder…..just need to find out how to do it.
I have already lifted up the hob but as it was not obvious I put it back together until I get some help.Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
I have same issue. The instruction book tells you how to remove the front panel, make sure you remove all knobs and buttons first. It says to remove the red indicator bulb but I couldn’t see how,so just rest the panel on the hob.The bulb needs to be twisted slightly sideways, then it will slide out.Remove the wire connectors, change the bulb unit and replace.Any problems fell free to get back to me.By the way, where did you source the new bulb unit from?October 27, 2011 at 10:11 am #361940steq184

Wow only took 5 minutes to change…..only downside is that the new bulb looks sooo much better and brighter I’m going to buy another bulb to change that one over too.
Thankyou again for your help
