SMEG A2-5 Main oven not heating and Red LED not lighting

As title really, the main oven has stopped heating and the thermostat LED does not light up. The fan, internal bulb etc all work OK.

Is this an element or thermostat fault?

For this oven can you remove the element from the front?

hmm, thats an interesting one

usually , if the element has failed, the pilot light should be on

a simple continuity test on the element will confirm whether its faulty or not, but the good moneys on the thermostat tbh

but id test the element first, it isnt impossible for the element to have caused damage to the thermostat

Got service guy out and confirmed it was burned out thermostat connection- actual connector was melted away!

He believes it was due to incorrect connection of thermostat at factory

All sorted now 🙂
