I have a 5+ year old A2 with failed ventilated and lower heating elements. New elements are on their way, but I am not sure how to gain access to the lower element. Can it be replaced from within the oven, or do I have to open the back up and do it from there? Also, the hex bolts that appear to hold the Ventilated element are stuck fast, presumably with burnt on crud. Can I undo these from behind, or does anyone have any suggestions for loosening the bolts – I ‘ve tried penetrating oil? A general assembly drawing would be a great help if anyone has one.

    Thanks

Both elements will need to be accessed for the rear of the appliance. The fan element bolts you can see are actually part of the element itself 😉

Power off before attempting the repair :zap:

I had wondered whether they might be studs with a nut on the other side! Anyway that’s good news 😀 , except for the weight of the cooker that is. 🙁

Many thanks for the help Dave.
