Went to buy a washing machine from my local independent dealer today.
He showed me a Smeg 1200 machine for £200.00 and told me it was built by and a copy of a Gorenje. Ive had some bad experiences with Gorenje machines in the past 18 months and wondered if this was correct?Geoff

Want it just for a loan machine now then will sell it in a few months time. got an issue with reliability. Dont want to go down the Indesit Beko route.
Had a couple of the top of the range Gorenjes self destruct this year. Any idea what there like? he says they are flying out the door at £249.00?Geoff

No idea TBH as I’ve not had any calls through for any. Saying that we seem to see mostly developer work for Smeg or top end kitchen stuff.
But, low price, Smeg “name”, it’s gonna sell whether it’s good or bad.
One of the local indies uses a lot of Gorenje and he’s not sure on the top end ones but really doesn’t like the low end gear, especially the ones with plastic door glasses. 😕
Other people say they’re okay.
So, mixed opinion basically.
