I have had the above cooker for some 5 years and it has been a chapter of disasters. The element for the fan oven has failed 3 times and the fan itself once. The oven door hinges have had to be replaced.
Now one of the ceramic hob elements has gone. The estimated cost of repair is over £200 and SMEG do not want to know.
There are 36 other houses in our development and none of them have had anything like the problems that we have experienced. It will have cost me nearly £800 and I seriously wonder if I should replace it with a less expensive unit. I always thought that SMEG were the Rolls Royce of domestic appliances but this has proved to not be the case.
