Don’t do many Smeg, not had this one before.

Not been out to it yet. Customer reports that the programme aborts, machine drains and display shows E9.

He says his manual shows it as a water problem, Error Codes thread says ‘Pause in test programme, not a fault code’ ????

    Model number . DWF410FF

    Any suggestions?

    Jim.

read as E2, but a duff circ pump can give the same esp if the impellor is loose.

According to the Error codes bible,Fault code E2 Overfilling or the machine thinks its overfilling when it isn’t. :rolls:

Not sure what the correct fill level is on these but the lower spray arm is connected to an offset floating arm. The water came up to the bottom of this floating arm.

Set the machine to prewash, it filled, circulation pump kicked in, fill continued for a little longer then stopped ( this was when I checked the levels) it ran for less than a minute before aborting and flashing E9.

Removed side panel and took the black pressure hose off the pressure switch end and blew down it. I also removed and tightened the connector plug that fits onto what I assume is the water turbine.

Set to wash and it completed a full prewash cycle perfectly although the water was still at the same level.

    Three questions,
    1. What is the correct water level ?
    2. Which if any of the two things I did cleared the fault ?
    3. Is it likely to return and if so what do I need to do to try to prevent this ?

    Jim.

must admit to never had a problem with a flow meter model, most smegs manage without them. Would have thought water level should be well below the bottom arm swivel thing. 45 cm smegs dont play to the same rules as the 60 cm, my heart sinks when I walk in the kitchen and see one. Most 60cm overfills are module problems. Assume it is behaving now then? maybe poor connection to the flow meter?
