smeg DI612C. S/no. 50207 121810. customer set this dish washer away on wash, told me it shut down near end of prog, and just kept making a sound, pulsing approx every 15 sec’s. got to m/c no f/codes, no lights flashing, or any indication of whats happening.
i reset appliance and started on prog, it went straight into a full drain at start, then just shut down, and drain pump pulsed on and off indefinatley.
no fault codes are displaying, there is no flood in the base, and the flood micro switch etc all ok, heater ok, pcb looks ok, no broken wires?.
appliance just sits there switching drain pump on/off.
any ideas

PCB corrupted – check mains suppressor and dispenser solenoid as possible culprits.

As Chris states, but good chance this one may be dispenser only, if not quote, and change, both.

thanks for the replies gents, i take it this appliance puts a pulse out to various components to check they are operational, before it starts, and if not aborts the programme?.
but, would it not come up as a funcional fault with a f/code.

Hiya,
I normally disconnect the dispenser and slave on a washing machine inlet valve, try the machine, if it runs, fit a new dispenser.
Just disconnecting it doesn’t work, it requires a resistance.HTH
