    Hi guys,
I have a smeg D1612 dishwasher and it will not start the cycle. The 2 right hand side lights are illuminated as to signify wash cycle finished but when you press the desired wash cycle nothing illuminates in the left hand side lighted column. Any ideas guys?

    Cheers
    Davy.

The fault codes for that machine, I think, are these ones:

If it isn’t one of those then it could be one of the oddball errors on these machines like this:

Thank you very much for getting back to me. The dishwasher i have sorted. I am not an appliance engineer but i stripped the pump down and i found a false nail (god knows how it got past the filters but it did) trapped in the impellor. I also gave the whole pump a good clean as it just unscrews with half a turn.

To be honest we purchased the kitchen from homebase and it was installed in march 2010 and we have had nothing but bother with the appliances and the kitchen if the truth be known.
Anyway thank you very much for your help and by the way the false nail was my wifes and not mine 😉 i hasten to add lol.

    Cheers
    Davy.
