have just fitted a new Water seperator part No 819130468. it has cured the leak but now the machine fills then runs for 4 or 5 mins then aborts. A fault code E8 is flashing up..the books states Alternate water system..I have no idea what this means!!
    can anyone help please. John

E8 means a faulty alternating valve………which is the real name for the part you just replaced.
check your wiring connections maybe? the plug not pushed fully home or pushed a spade out while pushing the plug in? never known a leaking valve to damage the module so thats unlikely. Basicly the microswitch on the valve needs to give a closed or open signal back to the pcb. there are only 2 pairs of wires, one pair to the motor and one pair to the microswtich so its quite easy to test, faulty new valve must be a suspect.
