Hi, I hope you can advise me on the Smeg DF612WE dishwasher. I need a new dishwasher and saw the smeg in a local department store for £289 and have found it on the net for £250. The thing that attracted me to this was the 5 year parts and labor guarantee. To be honest on inspection I was not impressed and thought the machine was a bit flimsy and tinny but with a 5 year guarantee I presume my dishwasher will last me at least 5 years, unlike my defunct Bosch which is better built than the Smeg but lasted barely three years. Is it worth buying, if just for the warranty? I would consider an ISE but I can not find one in my area to have a look at and I have no confidence in buying Bosch again. Any reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave. I live in Teesside.

I don`t know that particular model to be fair, but as it has a five year warranty it can`t be a bad deal. It probably won`t last more than that so be prepared to replace sooner rather than later.
Smeg appliances generally look good but the build isn`t some of the best, especially when you consider the prices of them.
