    Good afternoon all,

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on the above problem?

Having selected a wash cycle, the machine drains perfectly for around 45 seconds, prior to pausing briefly, and then simultaneously tries to fill and drain.

It does this in pulses of around one second, and is accompanied by a single beep each time, and will not do anything else.

I’ve checked the water fill valve, which gives a good Ohms reading of 3.68kOhms and checked the pressure switch, tubes and there isn’t a blockage in the pressure chamber sump unit. (blown through)

The water supply to the fill valve is fine, and the matrix appears to be clear, so any assistance would be welcome…

    Thanks,

    jonty

check the type of power supply on the main board

if its a capacitor type change it

fault sounds like mother board is running out of power if more than one thing is required. beep is most likely board stalling and crashing

    Thanks (once again) Dave,

The above Smeg dishwasher is at a couple’s second home, and I have received a message saying that they have decided to replace the dishwasher, even though it isn’t very old…
