Hi Chaps
2nd light only flashing, unable to find any info here as 2 and 5= overfill,
the machine starts to drain fill drain fill drain fault?

Hi,

If the second light is flashing and the fifth is constantly on then you are looking at an E2 fault. It’s quite common. See http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/faul … error.html

biggest mistake people make with smeg dw repairs is that they don’t wait for them to finish their faffing about bit at the beginning first. You need to let it run for about 5 minutes, sometimes they will fill and drain and do the same 4x times before starting up. Other than a drain or fill fault, no Error codes will show until its done this process first :/

i did leave the appliance until it stopped and faulted, E2 fault i found but 5 light never flashed.

Light 5 doesn’t flash for an E2 fault, it will be permanently on. Only light 2 flashes.
