Runs ok through prerinse. Runs for about 5 mins in main wash then stops & bleeps. If door is opened immediately the 2nd led is flashing and 5th is lit. If you open when it’s finished pump out then 4th and 5th are flashing. Have checked the heater ( about 30 ohms) and all other components and they seem ok and it’s not overfilling. Soap box haden’t opened on my test, but customer says it disenses then the tablet just sits in the bottom. Any ideas ?

are you saying it runs through the pre rinse (ie the cold prewash), then empties, re fills and starts washing for 5 minutes or does it just complete the back rinse sequence ansd then starts the wash before aborting?
Allways best to test these on the quick or glass wash as it goes straight into main wash.
if its the latter then would suggest its overfilling due to pcb failure and the error code ties in with this.Re: Smeg DI612CA Dishwasher
Set on main wash, cos this is what the customer uses, the machine runs straight through the prerinse with no problems. It then fills for mainwash ok, circulates for about 5 mins, then aborts giving the above codes. It doesn’t overfill as it finishes filling way before the abort. It sometimes occurs without firing the dispenser and sometimes just after ( tablet dispensed, but just sitting in the bottom). Could a faulty dispenser give this fault ? I know they can cause problems on other Smeg machines.

dispenser can cause funny faults hook up another solanoid or spare soap dispenser and see wat happens 😆
