I have a Smeg dishwasher, model number DI612CA9, which has stopped working after completing a wash. The machine is now completely unresponsive with no lights on and no beeps. I have tested the switch and there is power going through it when switched on and power at the control panel.
Would this mean I have a faulty control panel and if so can I fix the machine by just replacing this, or is there likely to be another faulty component which has in turn caused the control panel to fail?
I wouldn’t jump straight to the worst possible outcome.
Finding out what is the problem will involve diagnosing it and start with the mains filter, on off switch if there is one then the door microswitch. All of which can cut the power. Power at the board though would seem to suggest it may be that if the power switch is on there.
we dont know your level of skill
a lot of people find a live on a board and think there is power there but the board wont work without a live and a neutral
Thanks for the advice, I’ll do a bit more investigating. Somebody else tested the power going to the board for me so I will have to ask him how he tested it.
Many thanks,
Dave
