    Hi,

    This saga continues.

I was able to get the fault to occur by getting a book to read and waiting for
the machine to go through the program.

It stopped after the final rinse had got to temperature and then it began
to pulsate. A beep would occur then a couple of seconds rest then the
dispenser solenoid would cycle and the recirc motor start for a second or
two with another beep – simultaneously.

The relay or relays in the programmer can also be heard to cycle.

This pulsing cycle would then continue indefinitely until the program was
    canceled.

What is causing this? A faulty solenoid coil in the dispenser or a faulty
    programmer.

I did try an ordinary washing machine valve in circuit but this made no
difference. The dispenser solenoid coil is about a quarter of the
resistance of the water valve coil.

    Thanks
    Laurence

PCB, Laurence. You have had a peek at the suppressor as well?

    Chris.

    Thanks Penguin,

    I feared as much.

Yes I did look at the externals of the supressor and it looked intact.

Would this have an effect so far into the prog if faulty!

Funny enough I changed the supressor on its mate in the holiday let next
door about a year ago, that kept blowing the trip.

    Thanks again

    Laurence
