Hi people, great forum. I have a fault I’m hoping you can help me with…
Dishwasher seems to be stuck on draining. Error lights – rinse light flashing and pot wash light on. I have manually filled the washer with water and it drains, and then continues to try draining. Restart doesn’t help. Any suggestions? Cheers, Paul

Check the base is not full of water – if it is soak it up and see if it works. Power off first please

Thanks for your reply. I’ve checked and there is no water at all in the bottom of the dishwasher. As I mentioned the pump won’t shut off, so even when I manually pour water into the d/washer it will pump it out and keep running.

Dales-Electronics, you’re a genius. I didn’t quite understand what you meant by “the tray”, but I checked under the dishwasher inside the plastic tray and it was indeed full of water. I emptied the water, dried it out, and all is working perfectly. Thank you!

    Re: Smeg Dishwasher DWI-410

    Hi again,
I’ve managed to dry the bottom of the tray and restarted the dishwasher and it works perfectly… for about four loads and then throws the same error message again. When I check the tray it has flooded again. Any tips on how to work out where the machine is leaking, or is it time to call a repair man? Cheers and Happy New Year.

Leaks from the side fill chamber and the circulation pump seal are not unknown. Patience and observation is the only way.

Thanks Penguin45. I have just booked an engineer through this site.
    Cheers.
