    Hi All,

Sorry if this has been posted and replied to before, searched around and couldn’t find the answer I was looking for.

Happened just yesterday so haven’t done much trouble shooting.

The manual says that its “failure to drain” and there is a couple of inches of water at the bottom, have checked the filter and all the pipes for kinks etc, no kinks and the main filter and grill weren’t the cause of a blockage.

Would be grateful for some pointers on resolving the problem,

    Thanks in advance

The error code indicates a Heating fault? Does the pump drain, can you hear it running?

    Hi Martin,

I’m sure that I could hear the pump run, I listened closely last night and thought it didn’t sound right but to tell the truth it could have always sounded that way.

I will double check the instruction manual, but I was sure that it said unable to drain, I’m afraid that I don’t have the model number to hand.

There is a couple of inches of water at the bottom of the machine, but that could be because it stops half way through its cycle. Is it normal to have a couple of inches of water at the bottom during a cycle?

Another reason that I thought of a blockage was the water isn’t very clean, its been run half way through the cycle three times now.

The Dishwasher is a new one EN50242

the manual does state: E6 The dishwasher fails to drain.

Although I have checked and before the cycle stalls the water is completly cold.

New dishwasher? Did it replace another one? If not, check the spigot under the sink. Make sure it’s not still blanked off.
