Hi .
A few days ago, I opened my Smeg dishwasher, DWI 67, to find the control panel appeared dead. Switching the power supply off/on resolved nothing.
The appearance is that there is no power getting to the machine, but it could equally be the control panel is just not working for some reason.I checked the fuse in the plug, ok, and checked the mains socket is supplying power, it is.
Obviously if something electrical has bust, it’s gonna be a callout but could some other symptom be causing the control panel to not respond like some blockage? Here’s hoping as the bloody warrantee ran out 3 months ago!!

Call Smeg and explain that the appliance is only 3 months out of warranty and they may make some consession towards any repairs. 😉
It could be a number of things in all honesty, timer, microswitch, etc.

3 Months outside my extended 3 year warranty, did I mention that? 😉
As long as it’s likely to be an electrical failure, I’m happy to go for callout as at least it’s something I couldn’t deal with. If it was due to a water blockage, I’d be kicking myself!!
Ah right, then you’ve no hope of any consessions. 😉
Na, I’d say electrical for sure and not a simple self-fix job.
