KeymasterHi, my DWD63 was showing E2 for a while and has now settled with the rinse and drying LEDs permanently on and an inch of water lying in the machine. The pump out procedure is not activating although the pump is OK. Am wondering does the machine need reset and how can I do that ?

KeymasterIs that a four or five LED one and what lights is it that are lit, from left to right? Sorry the manual doesn’t show what LED is what I’m afraid.
E2 can be caused by a variety of things I’m afraid and I’d advise that you get an engineer to take a look at it.

Its a 4 LED machine and its the 2 on the right handside – just wanted to know if there was an easy way to check by resetting the electronics before I pay the £75 callout 😥

Hi Alan,
the manual does not list that fault code, which is always an entertainment in itself. 😉
The reset should be as they are for most Smeg made machines:
shane wrote:Firstly switch the power off on the control panel. Then hold down the programme button while switching the power back on. A single bleep should be heard. Any gremlins should now be bannished.
Hope that helps.

KeymasterRe: SMEG Dishwasher problem
how old is your smeg dishwasher?
E2 is an old chestnut with Smeg appliances
Reseting the PCB is not curing the fault
Don’t pay £75.00 call out for the pcb to be reset.

Hi, after several goes, the dishwasher has reset and seems to be operating again 😀
I did have E2 which cleared itself and went to the last 2 LEDs on the right lit – the machine seemed to have stuck ! I did have a shop guy out who changed the pump and checked stuff but as he didnt know the machine or how to reset it he left (without asking for any payment)
I will keep an eye on the machine but many thanks for the help – UKWG did more than any helplines I rang or shope engineers I had out !
