Hi, I was hoping someone could help with some advice. I have a Smeg DO10PSS double oven and the main (bottom) oven has decided it will no longer heat above 140 degrees or so. I have tried all the settings with combinations of the various elements and it always warms up to this temperature but no higher. As far as I can tell the elements still seam to be working (i.e. the bottom, rear fan and a combination of the top and bottom).

Could this be a faulty Thermostat or thermocouple and if so are they easy to replace ? This ia a fairly old oven so not sure I want a hefty repair bill for it.

    Thanks

Small correction to the previous post. The cooker seams to get stuck at 100 degrees or thereabouts after some additional testing this evening. Not sure if that is significant (other thank the obvious boiling point etc 😕 ). Wandering if some kind of “safety” feature has kicked in….
