My customer has bought this front seal which comes complete with lubricating fluid bottle. I am unsure of how it fits in the drum front plate as it has a rubber side and a felt side and I don’t want it to get ripped off by drum. There is a ribbed lip in the rubber that I assume fits into a groove in the drum front plate but the one I took off seems to be on backwards to how I think it fits. Can anyone help me?

What im trying to say is the rubber part ends up on the inside closest to rotating drum. Is this correct? Or does the seal need to be flipped over somehow so the felt is on the drum side?

Well fitted customer bought seal as I thought it would fit on front. Oiled it with lubricating oil as per badly photostatted Italian instructions. Sounds good on rotation but now No heat. Back panel removed found tripped resettable toc. Reset toc tested with no load all good I thought. Cust now rings up dryer says water tank full light is on after 3 minutes But no water in tank. Lift pump isnt operating maybe. dryer has been tipped on its back so maybe microswitch has got wet. This has had 3 1/2 hours labour on it.
