Smeg DUSF636X – is an under worktop SMEG DOUBLE OVEN cooker.

Twice in the last 20 months I have left the switches on the control panel ON,with the cooker not in use.
and only noticed this some hours later. If I use the cooker wall switch to isolate the cooker
I then have to reset the clock. Sooo–
I am considering fitting a small LED- red panel indicator light -on the flat control panel to indicate one or more
oven switches have not been restored to the OFF position, either a round or a rectangular light similar to the red rectangular light on the wall switch. —– -With the oven switches in the OFF position the proposed new red light would of course be out.

The SS switch panel would be no more than 2mm thick.
I would appreciate the views of the experts on the forum, re this proposal.

no reason why it could not be done but you have to be careful

you either have to hope the switches fitted have seperate pilot lamp contacts so you can link them all together with heat proof wire, then use one lamp

other than that you would need to add a lamp for each ring. you also have to route cable carefully as any shorts will give a big bang due to 30amp fuses

unless you have a good knowlege of electrics and cooker controls its a no no

    Thanks Dave for reply.
Can you or anybody else supply an exploded diagram of the control panel, and are the 4 larger
and 5 smaller knobs just pull off. I notice there are 2 phillips type screws on the underside of the control panel.
