Hi
Can any one tell me why this dishwasher will not start we select p1 press start prog time comes up then drain pump starts on for split sec then back to p1. this happens on all programes.
can any one help

sounds like the good old dispenser coil gone phut. Slave on a solonoid valve coil to test it if you havent got a dispenser.

thanks for that i’ll give it a try on mine.
prob i’ve been having is that after a few days rest it would do one wash then i’d get these same symptoms. i was a bit cheesed off having already repaired a faulty diverter.
i had suspected a moisture seepage during the successful wash. sounds like it could be a leaking soap box seal.

Hi Les,

is the solenoid on your dispenser round or a red square one?If it’s round you need dispenser complete SMG 812890061 £23.99, if it’s a square one you can get Dispenser SM16100 for £9.99 and use the solenoid from it to replace faulty one, both from Masterpart.

Careful here guys, the red solonoid was rubbish and caused lost of modules to fail, and not fitted for years, the other thing to look out for is a duff pcb energising the dispenser coil continuously. If the flap opens at switch on then you have an expensive problem and the dispenser will fail again.
