    Hey guys,

Anyone with any insignt to offer?

Smeg DWD44SS dishwasher. Been working great for 3 years, suddenly seems to have stopped spraying water from both spray jets. The electronic valve on the pipe end of the water hose can still be heard to work, and the machine slowly fills with water when left running. The machine can still pump water out, so sounds to me, as a complete novice, that either a pump that drives the jets is broken, or else a pipe/filter feeding the pump is blocked.

I’m happy to poke about if anyone has any suggestions, else any service engineers located around Sevenoaks in Kent?

    Cheers,
    Graham

It is likely to be the wash pump or the capacitor that runs it that’s goosed given the symptoms. Although do check that the spray arms are clear, they can be removed for cleaning.

Upshot is, cleaning is free, capacitor is pretty cheap and the wash pump you’ll be £100+ although I have to say we don’t see too many wash pumps failed on those machines. 😕

    K.
