Smeg DWF 1.1 stops then restarts part way through cycle

Hi all

I have a SMEG DWF 1.1 that will stop part way through it’s wash cycle then restart a few seconds later. It may repeat this 10 times or so before running continuously again for a period.

I’d be grateful for any pointers as to te likely cause. It’s been thoroughly cleaned.

not an unheard of problem

normally the power supply on the electronic control board

if you get an engineer from this site he should be able to repair the board

to give you an idea whats going on. as the machine ages, the power supply degrades, just like batteries running down. machine pump ok, fills ok, and starts washing, then the heater and the soap draw operate drawing more power, and the power supply fails. as soon as the power comes back up again the unit starts again
