Smeg DWF 66SS

My Smeg DWF66SS dishwasher stops its cycle with a long beep and error code E9 after a few minutes. When this has happened before, a run through with dishwasher cleaner does the trick, but this time it’s not working. 🙁

Can you recommend what I should do next?

I have a dwi 67.1 displaying exactly the same symptoms – have looked thru the forum for the discussion but cannot find – please could you point me in the right direction?

Try here for a start, should have told you that many Diplomat dishwashers are made by SMEG and suffer the same probs.

Hope this is of use to someone –

followed advice found in one of the threads and flushed out the drain behind the black flap – now works perfectly. The was a fair amount of debris in there!

What is wrong with my dishwasher?
It is only 13/14 months old – just out of its 1 yr guarantee – and it has a load of water in the bottom, water won’t come into the machine to wash any longer and there is now a faint film of oil on the filter.
Please help.

It’s not draining basically, which could be either a blockage or the drain pump has failed.

Is it the same make and model as the actual thread topic ?
