I have recently been given a smeg dwf410 from my mum. It was working when she had it, but as been in storage for a few months, I haven’t got the manual. I ran the 11 minute cycle just to give it a rinse before I used it and it gets to 9 minutes remainind and E9 error happens. I have read on forums it is the water system limitation and that there is a way to reset, but either it doesn’t work on my model, there is another way to fix it or I have no clue in how to put the sequence in. Also I have just broke the on/off, it works but I have to bang quite badly to get it to un stick, I think the spring has gone.

E9 is either a pause in the test program which shouldn’t indicate a fault I don’t think. Or, it can be the anti-flood system activated indicative of a leak somewhere.

I’d need to check the model out and what timer it is to be more accurate unless someone happens to have Smeg technical information available before I’m back at my desk on Monday. 😉
